About
I make tiny batches of minimal, colourful ceramics in a variety of stoneware and porcelain.
I am inspired by the Japanese aesthetic, toys and graphics from the 70’s, and the geometry of nature. I love colour, and make and develop all my own glazes using a combination of oxides and stains.
I am also inspired by my work as a designer, writer and illustrator. That stuff can be seen here at: iloveporkchop.com.
Care
All my work is high-fired. Everything is dishwasher and microwave safe - I’ve been using my stuff for years without any problems, but being hand made it is more fragile than Ikea bought wares, so I’d recommend hand washing it to be on the safe side. I can’t protect against how rough some dishwashers are or how hot some microwaves get.
All the glazes are food safe to the best of my knowledge, as long as the items are used correctly*. The satin glazes and bare clay may stain and cutlery mark over time, but this can be cleaned up with a bit of TLC and baking soda.
Wholesale
I wholesale at 40% (inc VAT), plus postage and packing. Lead times will depend on ny day job.
Small Editions
I work in a variety of stoneware and slipcast porcelain. I’m happy to make small bespoke things in terms of choice of colour and glaze, but only if they are part of my existing palette. Same goes for size and shape.
Before reading this please note: I am doing this as a side hustle and for the love of it, so I’m new to the whole e-commerce, postage, customer service malarkey. Feedback which makes me better at the above is more than welcome, so long as it’s constructive.
