About
I am a designer and illustrator who also makes small batches of colourful ceramics in a variety of stoneware and porcelain.
I am inspired by Japanese colour and design, toys and graphics from the 70’s, and geometric forms. I love colour, and make and develop all my own glazes using a combination of oxides and stains.
I am also inspired by my work as a designer, writer and illustrator. That stuff can be seen here at: iloveporkchop.com.
How to look after your stuff
All my work is high-fired. Everything is dishwasher and microwave safe - I’ve been using my stuff for years without any problems, but being hand made it is more fragile than Ikea bought wares, so I’d recommend hand washing it to be on the safe side. I can’t protect against how rough some dishwashers are or how hot some microwaves get.
All the glazes are food safe to the best of my knowledge, as long as the items are used correctly*. The satin glazes and bare clay may stain and cutlery mark over time, but this can be cleaned up with a bit of TLC and baking soda.
Wholesale
I don’t wholesale at a commission of my own retail price, or do sale or return. it is a massive chore to invoice and sort out at tax time. I wholesale at a fixed price, and you are free to price them as you wish, if you’d like a price list get in touch.
Shipping
All shipping materials are recycled and or recyclable. I use Royal Mail Tracked 48 which (according to their website) is the greenest and hopefully the safest. It is insured against lost but not damage. At the moment it is a flat rate of £10.00.
I can’t always guarantee I’ll be in the studio when an order is placed, so please note all orders placed in the week will be packed the following weekend and posted the week after that. This could mean a delivery time of up to 10 working days.
At the moment I only deliver to the UK. If you want something sent further afield get in touch and I can give you a price.
Refunds & Returns
I don’t do returns at all, so please make sure you check the dimensions and things before you buy them. I will only refund you if the item arrives and was obviously broken in transit. I only make tiny batches of things, so I might not have the item in stock to replace it.
Pick-Up
There is an option at check out to pick things up in person. My studio is in Deptford so if you get in touch direct you can pick it up from there or from me in Peckham where I live.
Stockists:

*If you store paint thinner or meths in your cups I can’t guarantee the glaze will last.
